IMgateway and the Victorian Metropolitan Alliance

The Victorian Metropolitan Alliance (VMA) will soon provide IMgateway subscription to each of their medical supervisors!

Dr Maria Lombardo, the VMA's South West Regional Training Group Coordinator, explains that this initiative has risen out of the VMA's commitment to provide educational resources for their teaching practices.  "There has been significant supervisor interest in learning more about complementary medicine particularly in relation to potential drug interactions which is also a concern for the registrars.  In light of this it was felt that a subscription to a reputable complementary medicine website would be beneficial to both supervisors and registrars alike. In addition, many of our patients are using complementary medicines that they have either purchased themselves or been prescribed by natural medicine practitioners.  Being able to access reliable information about these formulations and checking for interactions would be of use to us all".
 
Dr Lombardo goes onto state that "IMgateway was recommended to us as the most useful and practical website to general practitioners by Professor Marc Cohen".
